Entertainment, technology and business at the Auto Total Business Show 2019
Drifts, adrenaline, motorcycle demonstrations, tuned cars and, above all, a true technological show welcomed the automotive passionate people of Bucharest at Romexpo, at the new ATBS edition. On June 22 and 23, AUTO TOTAL BUSINESS SHOW (ATBS) met the professionals: the leaders of the automotive industry in Romania and abroad who came to Bucharest to offer a complete perspective on the evolution of the field. An event organized by AD Auto Total, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Romania and Romexpo.
35,000 participants enjoyed the exhibition of auto parts and service equipment. 122 exhibitors, top manufacturers in the industry from over 30 countries, exhibited the latest news from the universe of original and aftermarket auto parts, innovations and technical demonstrations. Visitors had direct access to over 2000 technological products and solutions, from notorious local and international companies in the market.
EXTREME SPORTS
On the platforms in front of the Central Pavilion, adrenaline has set the tone: dangerous acrobatics, supercharged engines and hot tires, rock climbing, karting, boot camp! The maximum point of attraction was, as usual, the drift zone, where the exceptional car demonstrations staged by RODRIFT, the only drift sports club in Romania, made a sensational show. Among those who showed their mastery at ATBS 2019 were the youngest European drift driver, Gabi Imre Jr., who skidded in tandem with his father, Gabi Imre. “Like father like son,” says an old proverb and the two men from the Imre family have shown this to us. Moreover, the future of the Romanian drift was also represented at ATBS – CLAUDIU ADAM (15 years) and GABI IMRE Jr. (12 years) had superb evolutions on the hot asphalt at Romexpo. Ionel Suta showed his appetite for danger with the only Dacia Sport specially prepared for drifting, while Razvan Stan excited the crowd on the sidelines with a Nissan 350z similar to the one in the Tokyo Drift movie. Beside them, they showed the Bulgarian Alexander “the Matrix” Yazov, King of Europe PRO2 Champion 2013 & 2014, vice champion in the Bulgarian drift championship in 2009, 2012, 2013, Time Attack champion in 2007, Stefan Zashev, vice champion in the Championship Drift from Serbia last year, Tzvetan Radev, vice-champion Bulgaria 2016 in the drift championship and Emil Petkov. The famous stuntman Angyal Zoltan excited the crowd with “in flames” acrobatics, literally . AUTO TOTAL BOOT CAMP put their physical endurance to the test of the visitors, with a tactical fitness competition based on the exercises of the American army, in which the participants fought for the glory against the clock. Hercule’s descendants, holders of titles at major strongman competitions, stretched their muscles in demonstrations weighing hundreds of kilograms, under the leadership of Mircea Parjol, national champion in bodybuilding and multiple champion in strongman.
The atmosphere was warmed by the most beautiful entertainers, beer drinking contests, rounds of free shots and moments of musical improvisation at the freestyle scene (MC Chob, Pietonu ‘, Rafa and Oliniutza). In the tuning area, spectators have found spectacular modified cars from all corners of the country – over 100 exhibits with hundreds of horsepower and top technology. There was no lack of play areas for children and many other fun for all ages.
NEW DIMENSIONS OF THE INDUSTRY
“ATBS has marked in 2019 8 years since its debut. It is a dynamic fair and probably the most important scene of the local automotive industry, a reference source both for networking between brands and their consumers, as well as for facilitating business collaborations at the highest level. As a result, ATBS brings innovation and tradition to the automotive industry every year, ” says Gabriel Zane, Marketing Director AD AUTO TOTAL. “And this year we have discovered together opportunities and sustainable partnerships. We focus on being beside industry professionals who started on the path of entrepreneurship last year, financially supported by the state, through the national Start-Up Nation program, those who had the courage to dream and won funding for projects. Entrepreneurs qualified to finance a maximum of 200,000 lei from the state in the Start-Up Nation program 2018-2019 were able to access the special offers of tools and equipment for the provision of services this weekend, at ATBS. The package for the Start-Up Nation winners included significant discounts, fast delivery and advantageous payment terms. One of the main strengths of the offer is the immediate availability of the equipment and the wide range of products offered by the SERVICE TOTAL division ”adds Gabriel Zane.
